When you laugh so hard you slightly lose your voice, learn how to giggle. They’ll still think you thought it was funny.

I wish someone gave me this advice prior to our DVD taping last night at 206 Lounge in Manhattan. At the same time I know a lot of our audience now suffers from the same thing. A few of them pee’d their pants and that’s fine. There’s a mop. That’s why they pay employees.

More progress as the Pile successfully filmed our Comedy DVD in front of a packed audience Saturday night. Along with Maryssa Smith (@MaryssaSmith) hosting and Bread Foster (@BreadFoster) headlining, the show took off with a great pace as Leigh West got the crowd rolling.

Roger Skai took the stage next and his soft spoken, fun style helped settle the crowd from a raucous Leigh West. Kenny Murdock followed with a great set. At this point you could really see it all coming together for the final act of the DVD, Thomas J Bellezza.

The crowd, already doubled over from laughter, enjoyed a special treat as ‘Guy Code’ stars Chris Distefano (@chrisdcomedy) and Mike Cannon (@IamMikeCannon) popped in to try some of their newer jokes, which in this writer’s opinion, seemed almost polished from the get-go.

The Pile continues to grow. Stay tuned for more updates on our happenings and goings-on, and make sure to keep checking into TopOfTheBottomPile.com for all of our shows and info.
